Newtonian politics

Newton's second law of motion says Force = Mass x Acceleration. Metaphorically speaking Political Power = Electorate (mass) x Motivation (acceleration). The Dems and Repubs have about the same Mass (electorate) yet the Force (political power) seems to favor the Repubs which would indicate that the Dems have less acceleration (motivation). If we can accept that Political Motivation = Electorate / Leadership, then it becomes obvious that power will remain in the hands of the electorate that enjoys the most effective leadership which is simply that person or group that functions in unity.
Newton's third law is: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Massive radical push to the political right = massive radical push to the political left.

liars

Thomas Edward Leonard To say Trump is a liar is like saying the earth is round to a group of flat-earthers. It's totally redundant, except to that very special group who have also redefined the words truth, integrity, honesty, mercy, grace, humility, and even love.

This started as a letter to my adult children:

Dear Kids,

When a fraction of our county's population has control of all but a fraction of our country's wealth, the only political path they can choose is to secure control over that fraction of wealth which remains in the hands of this extreme majority, the have-nots. I call this trickle-up economy. We will have set foot on this final path if the new tax law passes congress. And that's not the scary part! Be assured that there will come a day when the high tech, low cost toys and drugs can no longer keep this extreme majority entertained and distracted. There will be revolution, a disastrous sweep to a radical left.

My son, Mike answered:
People with money have always had control of this world, not just in the US but the planet. This has been going on for as long as the existence of man and will not changed.  Guatemala is exactly the same , the rich rule the poor. That’s why the few, called sons and daughters are not of this world and have nothing to fear.

You are right, this is the way of the world.  Rome gave the people the games in the coliseum to keep their minds off of the reality of life. We have our TV's and Smartphones and low cost items for daily use provided by giant corporations who use the poorer people to make things for less poor people. But God has chosen humanity to not only reveal his presence and nature to humanity but has given this same group power and authority through Christ to bring the world into conformity with their creator, not with violence, the world's way, but with love, God's love. We were not given power and authority of our Christ to sit back and say "it is what it is", but to declare and demonstrate the power of God's love in action. Martin King was one such man. He didn't sit back and say "it is what it is" but he stepped out into the world and brought it to begin to conform to God's will, that hatred and prejudice were not of God and would not be accepted. It is not our Father's will that some starve while others hoard.  We are much more than the voice of our Father God, we are his very hands and feet. 

So, there you have it, my premise; It is man's responsibility to make the world right and God has become a co-collaborator with man to accomplish the task. God's godliness is expressed through man's manliness, God as a man.
